The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is about what you would expect from a French door refrigerator that costs this much. It has a decent sized refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. But it's not the most spacious one I've seen. You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to make a custom storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting adds an appealing accent. The bins for storage inside come with a third shelf that can be folded down to store tall objects. The drawers have temperature controls so that you can set them to Beverage, Meat, or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to open and close however I found the plastic's textured coatings a bit hard on my fingers. The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in world, and offers numerous options for customization. It also sends you notifications when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter. It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill, an option available in a handful of other GE fridges that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to pour out simultaneously. It also has a countdown on the fridge's display to display how much water you have left, but it's not as useful as Precise Fill. Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator Created to appear like a seamless part of your kitchen Bosch's French-door refrigerator looks seamless and is one of a kind. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that helps keep vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors for the best food preservation. The Ice maker is among the most efficient we've ever tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of ice that is low in water consumption. This refrigerator is the ideal choice for single household or kitchenettes looking for an integrated look and top of the line food preservation. The fridge was rated the best refrigerator in our Refrigerators test for various reasons. Its freezer temperatures held firm at a level that was just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, and never changing by more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial in preventing freezing burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, achieving the temperature that was set for the initial setting within an hour and keeping the temperature constant over the course of our testing. Bosch is known for its top-quality appliances. Therefore, it's not a surprise that Bosch's counter depth fridge Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. This app lets you monitor and manage your fridge remotely using your smartphone or tablet. Inside, the fridge has the standard French-door layout, with gallon-sized door bins at each door and two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set sleeker drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded to provide more space for taller items. You'll also find a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser. This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it easy to transfer the frozen ice as needed. The freezer features thoughtful design elements, as well, such as sliding drawers that help better organize the placement of items. It also has a huge bin that can hold plenty of frozen food and an ice storage bin. Another awesome feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a nice way to control and monitor your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home. But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it does not necessarily improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge than other refrigerators we tried. This is probably due to its larger capacity. The doors are another problem with this fridge. The sunken handles let shorter people open them from the bottom. However taller people will have a hard time closing them without slamming. It would have been more effective if these had front-mounted handles. The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal option for those looking to combine the advantages of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model, and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the top counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it an attractive option. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't break the bank and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It's a simple fridge that may not be as appealing like some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make it a good choice. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser and a decent Ice machine that is fast. The “Chill Drawer”, which sits over the two crisper bins, is another great feature. This drawer lets you direct some of the fridge's cooling power to the area so that you can keep food items which need extra attention. You can adjust the feature using an adjustable slider that is located just on the outside of the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've found that the general settings are more effective than the specific ones. In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly consistent across all areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees. This is a good performance, but it doesn't quite make it to the top of our ratings. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with a smart thermometer to get more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge. The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is constructed of stainless steel with a grey body which has a “smudge-proof” finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
